Horsepower For Kids Fall Fest |
Begins this weekend
An animal sanctuary with a petting zoo |

With a Magic Show at 1pm and 3pm
This nonprofit animal sanctuary and family farm near Oldsmar and Westchase welcomes the public while providing lifelong care for the animals living there.
That purpose gives a simple family outing a little more heart, especially for children meeting animals up close.
Playgrounds, swings, a tree house, a corn pit and a maze offer plenty of reasons to linger.
There is no need to follow a rigid tour schedule: guests can wander the grounds at their own pace during business hours.
October hours run Thursday and Friday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Regular admission is $14 per person, while children 12 months old and younger enter free.
Tickets are not sold in advance, so families pay when they arrive, using cash or a credit or debit card.
Card payments carry a 4% merchant fee, a small but useful detail to know before heading out.
The first Thursday of the month offers a lower $7 admission price during the 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM window.
That monthly offer does not run in July or August.
Field trips are available year-round, giving schools and groups another way to connect children with the farm.
For families looking for connection rather than another crowded indoor stop, the farm’s mix of animals and open-air play feels refreshingly straightforward.
A day here is both a chance to make memories and a way to help sustain an animal sanctuary close to home.

Could use more affordable spots like this for families. Might try the first Thursday next month.
The maze sounds like fun but hope it isn’t too hard!
Wish they sold tickets online though. I like planning ahead and knowing we’re set.
Anyone know if it gets muddy after rain? Might bring boots just in case.
We’ll be there for the magic show! My 6yo is counting down the days already.
Never heard of a corn pit before. Is it like a ball pit but with corn?
I appreciate the open hours on weekends. Hoping to take my nieces when they visit.
Credit card fees are annoying but I get why. At least they take cards!
Honestly just glad to find something to do outside that’s not super crowded. Thanks for posting.
Are dogs allowed on the grounds or is it just for the farm animals?
It’s too bad the first Thursday price isn’t year-round. July and August are tough with the heat though.
We visited last spring and got to feed the goats. One of our best family days!
Do they have food for purchase or should we pack lunch/snacks?
Hoping the animals are all well taken care of here. Anyone know much about the sanctuary side?
The 4% fee for cards is nice to know in advance. Bringing cash for sure.
Is there parking on site or do you have to park somewhere else?
A tree house?! My daughter will be obsessed. Thanks for mentioning all the playground stuff too.
Big fan of supporting animal sanctuaries. Makes the outing feel worth it beyond the fun.
The magic shows sound adorable. Do you have to pay extra for those or is it included?
$14 per person seems a little steep for a family of five, honestly.
I remember the corn pit from last time we went! My son had to be dragged out, ha.
Love that you don’t have to stick to a tour schedule. My toddler never moves at the right pace for those.
Our preschool did a field trip here last year. All the animals were so sweet with the little ones.
That $7 deal on first Thursdays is actually a great tip. Wish more places did that.
I always see the signs for this place but never stopped by. Looks like it could be a fun Saturday with the kids!
