Taste of the Beaches 2026 Is Underway: How to Build Your $10 Food Crawl Across Pinellas |
A nine-day Pinellas food crawl serves up $10 tastes from Clearwater Beach to Tierra Verde |

If you have been looking for an excuse to try a few restaurants along the Pinellas beaches without committing to a full meal at every stop, this is the week to do it.
Taste of the Beaches 2026 runs through Sunday, October 11, turning restaurants from Clearwater Beach south through St. Pete Beach and Tierra Verde into a nine-day, self-guided food crawl.
The event is organized as a flexible tour rather than a single-site festival, making it easy for locals to build their own route.
The setup is simple: each $10 Taste ticket can be exchanged for one participating restaurant's designated Taste of the Beaches offering.
There is no fixed daily schedule, so diners choose where they want to go and visit during each business's regular operating hours.
That format makes the event especially useful for Tampa Bay residents who would rather explore one beach community at a time than race up and down Gulf Boulevard.
On St. Pete Beach, for example, this year's lineup includes everything from huevos rancheros and a latte at Copper Kettle to a butcher burger, fries, and a drink at Beach Meats.
Sundrop at The Luce Hotel is serving a fish-and-chips "Spice Bag" with an Ube Colada, while Playa Taco at TradeWinds has a chicken tinga taco paired with a skinny margarita.
|
Farther north, Indian Rocks Beach gives diners several stops within the same general area.
Coco's Crush Bar & Grill is offering a Maryland-style crab cake sandwich with a side and Orange Crush, Jake's Coastal Cantina has birria nachos, and Crabby Bill's is serving conch fritters.
|
Seafood fans could also make a south Pinellas run.
At Tierra Verde, Billy's Stone Crab has a sampler featuring sea scallops, coconut shrimp, grouper nuggets, and calamari, while Vista at the Top is pairing tuna poke with a lemon spritz.
|
At the other end of the route, participating Clearwater Beach restaurants include SHOR, where the Taste features a conch fritter alongside a snapper aguachile tostada, and Cabanas Coastal Grill, which is serving coconut shrimp with key lime honey mustard.
This year's event includes 51 participating restaurants, so the smartest strategy probably is not to treat Taste of the Beaches like a checklist.
Pick two or three stops that are close together, check their hours before leaving home, and use the event as a reason to discover a stretch of the beaches you do not normally visit.
Restaurant hours matter because each Taste is available according to the participating business's own schedule.
Tickets can be purchased through the event's ticket system and then picked up at designated locations in St. Pete Beach, Indian Rocks Beach, downtown St. Petersburg, and along Central Avenue.
Pickup hours vary by location, so confirming the current hours before making a special trip can save some frustration.
There is also a community benefit behind the food crawl.
A portion of 2026 proceeds benefits Habitat for Humanity Tampa Bay Gulfside.
For local diners, that makes Taste of the Beaches more than a discount dining promotion.
It is an inexpensive way to explore the coast, put money into local restaurants during a traditionally slower stretch of the year, and maybe discover a new favorite worth revisiting after the $10 specials are gone. |

The self-guided thing is such a smart improvement. Thanks again for putting this on my radar.
If anyone wants to split tickets and share tastings let me know! More variety that way.
This sure beats the standard food festival chaos. Way more chill.
Tierra Verde doesn’t always get included in big events so that’s cool to see. Eating my way down Gulf Blvd!
Any gluten free options in the mix or nah? My wife usually misses out on these things.
I’m new to the area and this looks like a great way to check out local restaurants. Thanks for the tip!
We love Playa Taco! Not sure about a skinny margarita though, might need two tickets for that.
Tried the chicken tinga taco last year and still thinking about it. Nice to see it’s back.
Wish they’d list all participating spots in the article, but this is a great start!
Nine days is perfect, can hit one spot after work all week. Appreciate the heads up on the event dates.
Last time I tried Huevos Rancheros on the beach it was life changing. Fingers crossed for Copper Kettle!
I like how this lets you explore without feeling rushed. Might convince my friends to try Clearwater Beach this time.
I’m not really interested in most of the drinks but the food looks solid. Hope there’s non-alcoholic choices too.
Wonder if parking will be worse than usual with all the extra people? Anyone got tips for easy spots?
I’ve done Taste of the Beaches before and always find a new favorite spot. The taco at Playa Taco is calling my name!
Is this just for locals or can tourists grab tickets too? Visiting next week and this sounds perfect.
So much better than standing in long festival lines. Love getting to pick times that work for me.
I wish they had one or two spots in Gulfport too. Maybe next year!
Excited for the fish and chips at Luce Hotel. Ube Colada sounds interesting, never had one!
This sounds fun. Do the drinks count with the $10 ticket or do you have to pay extra for those?
Thanks for calling out Copper Kettle. I drive by all the time but still haven’t tried their breakfast. Next stop!
Beach Meats is a favorite of mine, that butcher burger is so good. Might have to grab an extra ticket for that!
I’m glad it’s not just one day. I got burned last year by missing the main day. This is way better.
$10 for a ticket seems pretty reasonable. Anyone know if there are veggie options at these spots?
Love that you can just pick your own route and try different dishes. Totally planning a mini food tour this week.
